Spray Paint Meets Photoshop

Working with Photoshop can be difficult. I got really comfortable with Adobe Illustrator and then completely forgot how to use Photoshop. In some of my projects, this showed but I at least tried something new with them. I will continue to work with Photoshop and try to get better at it, but I definitely prefer Illustrator. For this project, we worked on a three-part creative series. Luckily, we were able to choose what we wanted to do for our creative series, and this helped tremendously to have that freedom.
For my series, I chose to work on a similar style that I do with my spray paint art. I wanted to show a more realistic version of what I created in photo form. For the most part, I like how they turned out. I created what I call, “Waterfalls on the Edge of the Earth.” Every picture showcases a different view of the waterfall. The first one shows the inside view of a cave looking out. There is the night sky with multiple planets in view. This one is my favorite out of all three. There are a few things with it that I could change but still being uncomfortable with Photoshop, I struggled a bit with it.
My second project showed the outer perspective of the waterfall. From top to bottom you see the night sky with a giant green planet. Then it lowers onto the mountains with a waterfall in the middle of it. Under the mountains are clouds to cover up the bottom of the mountain and create a mystery of what is underneath. Where does this waterfall go to? Why is there a waterfall placed in the middle of this mountain?
My final picture of the series shows the edge of a waterfall. There is another night sky with one giant multicolored planet and three other smaller planets to the right of it in a line. I chose this one to be the last one to showcase what the edge of the earth would look like. You don’t know where you are going or why you are going there but it is inevitable for it to happen.
Out of the three of them, I like the first one the best, the second one would be my least favorite, and the third one would be in the middle. I like the concept of all three and it makes me want to create more art with my spray paint. I do need more hours with Photoshop. I will be the first one to admit that, but as long as I continue to practice with it, I will continue to get better at it. I just have to keep telling myself that when I get frustrated. It is a great program to work with when you understand it.
